Cyrano has designed a methodology to identify, measure and analyze the risk of  financial institutions, talking into account both quantitative and qualitative aspects.

T
hese assessments include a five-day visit to each client and a continual  performance and risk monitoring of the market and the counterpart. Client progress reports are elaborated on a monthly basis.

Since its inception in 1999,
Cyrano has assessed 30 MFIs in 12 Latin American countries.

Cyrano is not a risk rating agency. Instead, the financial analysis it  conducts of MFIs is from the perspective of an investor interested in managing risk. In the microfinance field, Cyrano also uses information provided by rating agencies or specialized assessment firms like Micro Rate.www.microrate.com
